ABOUT THE OWNER

Richard Cheney

Owner

“Born in Carmarthen, I spent most of my childhood between Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, exploring the countryside, seaside and wildlife either by boat with my dad or through binoculars with my mum and her friend on weekends.
From a young age I was drawn to the outdoors, enjoying fishing, walking, generally exploring and getting muddy like most boys do. My outdoor interest was evident with the array of career paths I wanted to pursue, from being a landscape gardener, a charter skipper and even a marine biologist, my directions have always pointed to the freedom that is the outdoors.

I have always been a keen fitness enthusiast too, trying my hand at anything and everything I could from a young age, including athletics, karate, cycling, weight training and now endurance based challenges like Ultra Running and road Cycling.

Aspirations Outdoor Adventures is not a job, but a passion, and I am very fortunate to be in the position I am, because after all “find a job you love and you will never have to work again”.
